Routes delineation
Luminokrom® is often used to mark out the edges of a separated bike lane to delineate the edge of a trail when it's total darkness. This reduces the risk of unintentional detours onto the traffic road or sidewalk.
Continuous photoluminescent lines
Applying Luminokrom® in the form of continuous lines on the edge of a bike path clearly delimits the space reserved bicyclists, from other roadway users in the city. This not only helps cyclists to stay on course, but also signals to other users (e.g. pedestrians, motorists or other traffic vehicles) the space protected for bicycles and reduces the risk of collision.
Photoluminescent discontinuous center lines
On bike lane facilities, a luminous center stripe can be added to delineate the two lanes. This helps cyclists stay on their side of the lane, especially in the dark.
