LuminoKrom®, innovation in ADEME’s Great Ecological Challenge
As part of the organisation and construction of national and local policies, ADEME (The French Agency for Ecological Transition) evaluates and selects all the innovative projects that will build tomorrow's territory. Following this analysis, the Agency has carefully selected 7 promising innovation projects to meet the challenges of ecological transition, from among all the programmes in all categories.
LuminoKrom® is delighted to have been selected as one of the 7 winning innovations in the France 2030 programme, organised by ADEME. Our photoluminescent paint has been chosen as an innovative project to meet the challenges of ecological transition and prepare the France of tomorrow.
Our technology among the 7 winners of the ADEME - France 2030 programme
 | France 2030 aims to highlight the innovations of tomorrow. The aim of the programme is to encourage the emergence of promising companies and technological structures, and to support the transition of sectors of excellence, based on research, innovation and skills development. We are very proud that our patented technology is one of the projects selected by the programme. LuminoKrom® is therefore taking part in this vital national transition, with the aim of improving mobility safety in our regions. Our photoluminescent paint is designed to store daylight and emit a visible glow for more than 10 hours in the dark. The aim is to improve the safety and visibility of soft mobility at night. |
The France 2030 programme aims to accelerate the transformation of key sectors of our economy through innovation and to position France not just as a player, but as a leader in the world of tomorrow. By choosing LuminoKrom® as the winner, France 2030 is underlining its support for technologies that promote the ecological transition and improve local infrastructure.
LuminoKrom®, an innovation with over 5 years' experience
The LuminoKrom® adventure began in August 2017 with the launch of the I-STREET programme, led by the Eiffage Group and in partnership with Total, OliKrom and IFSTTAR. At the time, the programme was the winner of the "Road of the Future" call for projects operated by ADEME, as part of the Future Investment Programme.
The project was based on the idea of providing better visualisation of road markings (hard shoulder, pedestrian crossings, cycle paths, etc.) in poor conditions (night, fog), while offering a solution that was simple to implement.
7 years after its launch, our technology has been applied on more than 350 sites around the world and is now being highlighted by the France 2030 programme.
Winners highlighted at the Grand Défi Ecologique organised by ADEME
The 7 innovations selected by the programme will be presented and showcased at the Grand Défi Ecologique, organised by ADEME. The event will take place at Carré des Docks in Le Havre over 4 days, from 3 to 6 April 2024.
The aim of the event is to mobilise civil society and stakeholders and encourage them to take concrete action in favour of the ecological transition, through innovative inspirations and levers for action.
On site, you will discover the France 2030 innovation projects selected and supported by ADEME. Demonstrators are at your disposal for a truly immersive experience. As one of the selected technologies, LuminoKrom® will be delighted to let you experience, in immersive reality, the photoluminescence principle used in our paint.
